The quick way

Press your assistant. It copies GrowthDept's address and opens the place to add it. The steps below say exactly what to press there.

Any Claude plan. Free accounts can add one.

1. Get your key

Sign in to GrowthDept, open Connections, open For developers, and press Set up on AI assistants. A key is shown once and works for the business it was made on. Remove the connection to stop it.

2. Add GrowthDept to your assistant
  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it GrowthDept and enter the address https://growthdept.app/mcp.
  3. Under Request headers, add a header named Authorization with the value Bearer followed by a space and your key.
  4. Save it. In a chat, switch GrowthDept on with the plus button and ask it what happened this week.

3. Ask it something

Try "What did GrowthDept do this week?" or "Launch a campaign for house removals in Lewisham."

What it can do
  • Tell you what went out this week and what waits for your yes.
  • Launch a campaign: "Launch a campaign for house removals in Lewisham." It sets the focus and queues the work.
  • Answer questions from measured facts, and say what is not measured yet.
  • Check your website, find the searches people make, and read where you show on Google from your own Search Console.
  • Add the places you cover, suggest some, and take one of the pages GrowthDept hosts down or put it back.
  • Record your yes or no to a draft, when you ask it to.
What it cannot do
  • Put anything online by itself. A post or page still goes through GrowthDept and your approval settings, which start at asking you first.
  • Approve a draft you did not ask it to approve.
  • Change your own website.
  • Promise a result or a place on Google.
What it costs

It is included on every plan. Reading costs nothing. When it asks GrowthDept to write or plan, that spends Growth Credits at the same rates as in the app, and stops when the month's allowance is used. Your assistant's own plan is separate and is between you and its maker. See Pricing.
