We know what move day with small children actually looks like

The nap that won't shift. The front door propped open for hours. A toddler who wants to help carry everything. A kitchen that needs to stay usable until noon. These are not small details — they are the shape of the day, and a crew that ignores them makes everything harder.

Smoov Moves works alongside families moving home across South East London. We ask at the start of every move how the day needs to work around your children — and we plan accordingly.

What one SE London parent said after moving with small children

"Moving home with small children is a very stressful experience but the guys at Smoov Moves were extremely helpful and organised."

That word — organised — is the one parents reach for when a move goes well. Not fast, not cheap. Organised. Because when there are children in the house, organised is what keeps the day from falling apart.

How we plan the day around your family

We clear rooms in the order that keeps a safe space available for your children throughout the day — not the order that is fastest for us.

Agreed room sequence from the first hour, so you always know what is happening next
One room kept clear for as long as you need it — a bedroom, a kitchen, wherever your children are
Walkways between the house and the van kept clear and predictable at all times
Communication before the front door is propped open for a run of loading
Flexible start times, 24/7 — so the hardest hours do not collide with nap time or the school run

Covering the boroughs your family is moving between

We work across SE London every week — in the Victorian terraces of Brockley, the family streets of Catford, the larger homes of Dulwich, the busy roads of Lewisham, and the newer builds of Greenwich. We know the access constraints, the permit bays and the parking realities that a national company or a man-and-van often does not.

Licensed, certified and careful with everything you own

Smoov Moves is a licensed, certified removal company. That means the crew at your door are trained professionals — accountable, insured and experienced with full-house family moves.

"This time could not have gone more smoothly. Bobby and his team made it look easy, always a smile and so pleasant whilst very professional at all times."

Frequently asked questions

Can we agree which rooms are packed last so our children's space stays usable?

Yes — this is one of the first things we talk through on the morning of the move. Tell us what your children need and we plan the room sequence around it.

Can you start at a time that works around our nap schedule or school run?

We work 24/7, so the start time is not fixed by what suits the crew. When you request your quote, tell us the timing constraints that matter to you and we will build around them.

What boroughs do you cover in SE London?

We cover the full SE London area, including Brockley, Catford, Dulwich, Lewisham and Greenwich, as well as surrounding areas. Tell us your addresses when you request a quote.

Are you insured and licensed?

Yes. Smoov Moves is a licensed, certified removal company. Your belongings are in professional hands.
